Who’s your therapist ?
I am Yassine. I grew up in the vibrant city of Casablanca, Morocco, where I developed an early passion for languages and different cultures. Fun fact: I even tried learning Japanese when I was just seven years old!
My fascination with clinical psychology took me on an exciting journey to France, where I pursued my studies. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Toulouse University and completed my Master’s degree with a double specialization in adult and child psychology at Aix-Marseille University. Additionally, I undertook a further Master's programme in Psychoanalysis at the University of Montpelier.
I completed extensive clinical training across various settings in France. My experience spans private psychiatry practices focusing on psychosis (including schizophrenia and paranoia), elderly care homes specializing in neurology and cognitive disorders, and trauma-focused facilities.
Following my training, I relocated to the Côte-d’Azur in the south of France, where I became licensed and spent five enriching years. Here, I worked in a departmental trauma treatment association, collaborating closely with a dedicated team of psychologists. Our work encompassed a range of community-centered missions, deeply aligned with my professional values. I supported children, adolescents, and adults experiencing severe and complex trauma—such as abuse, rape, and torture—across various psychological structures including neurosis, psychosis, and perversion.
During this period, I gathered significant skills, experience, and clinical practice, managing around 50 patients weekly. I also completed specialised training programmes in structural diagnosis, emergency interventions, and trauma treatment, alongside my certification from IFEMDR (approved by EMDR Europe).
Beyond individual therapy sessions, I actively advocated for mental health, passionately engaging in key social issues:
Children’s Rights and Protection:
Provided therapeutic support for children affected by early traumatic experiences, including domestic violence, sexual abuse, and abandonment.
Worked with children adopted or placed in foster care due to dysfunctional care-giving, addressing early neglect and violence, and closely collaborating with parents, educators, foster families, court systems, and child protection services.
Adult-focused Advocacy:
Supported adults experiencing complex trauma resulting from torture, domestic violence, or life-threatening situations.
Collaborated with public institutions, departmental associations, and the women’s rights and equality delegate to address domestic violence, emphasizing the importance of recognizing psychological triggers to prevent repeat victimization and return to abusive environments.
After extensive practice in France, I relocated to Dubai, where I now run my private practice at Clearminds Clinic.
